Ben “Z” & Shelley Hudson bring home first ever sweep! By Dick Moecia Last year, young Ben (Zimmer) took home the gold in the VNEA singles 8-ball event. This was a monster achievement unequaled by the best this area has ever had to offer. This is a tournament so big that players from all over the world compete for title to a single championship. That was at the age of 22 years old, barely old enough to be sanctioned. This year, the older and more experienced Ben equaled the challenge at the age of 23 and took home the VNEA Men’s Intermediate 9-Ball event. Although he had to go through the loser’s bracket he was able to beat the winner’s bracket champ twice to take home the 1^st place prize. To put icing on the cake, Ben decided to try his skill in the Artistic challenge and he was able to garner a 3^rd place finish. The amazing fact here is while all the other contestants learned the shots that would be employed by going on line and practicing them months before the event, Click here for complete article	Don Willis "The Cincinnati Kid" Golf Scramble-New by Jim Wayne GCABA hosted its 15^th annual golf scramble on Sunday, June 28^th, 2009 at the Elms Golf Club. The scramble was won by Jim Krenser, Paul Roberson, Ed Nyland and Eric Nyland with a score of 58 (-14). Second place went to Don Mammone, Aaron Czetli, Duane Lambes and Mike Simpson with a score of 61 (-11). Closest to the Pin was won by Mike Simpson on No. 2, Jeff Czeak on No. 4, Phil Matie on No. 9 and Mike Simpson on No. 17. There were a total of 4 skins out with Krenser’s team winning 3 and Mammone’s team winning 1. Click here for Photos
